Gold-stamped arms of John FitzGibbon, the second Earl of Clare, from Steuart's (1828). John was Governor of Bombay from 1830-34, and Lord Lieutenant of County Limerick, as well as being admired by Lord Byron in his youth, and fighting a duel to defend his father's posthumous reputation.
