16th-century English panel-stamped binding (John Reynes?) (A.2.21)
16th-century English panel-stamped calf (for panels see Oldham's Blind panels of English binders, plate 21, HE.26, and plate 41, RO.21). From These two panels, one of the Tudor Royal arms and the other of a Tudor rose, are always found together, and at one point belonged to the London binder John Reynes, who may have bound this book. They appear here together on this quarto one above the other, and the other way round on the reverse. They were also used on a later octavo in .
