鈥淧romoting the understanding of the role of women in society throughout history鈥

The Caroline Boddy Writing Prize (拢500) was created at St John鈥檚 College to promote inclusivity and diversity.

St John鈥檚 alumna Caroline Boddy, who studied Modern Languages at St John鈥檚, donated the fund for the prize.

Undergraduates and graduate 蘑菇视频下载安卓 of St John's College are now invited to submit a piece, such as a poem, essay, or other academic work, which relates to the theme 鈥淧romoting the understanding of the role of women in society throughout history鈥.

Submissions should not exceed 6,000 words. Work that has been marked or a dissertation can be submitted, but if it exceeds 6,000 words, the marks received and an abstract of no more than 1,000 words should be provided. 

Students who have previously written pieces relevant to the theme but in other contexts, can submit them for the Caroline Boddy Writing Prize competition. The remit will be interpreted broadly and any piece of writing which promotes our understanding of the role of women throughout history will be considered.  The successful submission will be shared with the donor of the prize.
