Illuminated miniature, initials and borders from f.68v of , the Liber Sextus Decretalium of Boniface VIII, with gloss of Johannes Monachus (English, c. 1335-50). The miniature shows a king seated before two disputants. The borders incorporate shields bearing the arms of Mortimer.
